Teetering between two different seasons has finally come to an end. The mercury starts to rise and many girls shed their wintery clothes and take to the outdoors to flaunt their summery, colourful outfits with a slushie in hand (I am imagining this).
While many start to stock up on pastels and prints, I am not quite ready to let go of my blacks and whites yet. So was the case when my boss invited me and Allan to their house-warming party last Friday to celebrate the new renovations to their new home. Bedecked in a black pencil skirt that I scored recently and my favourite polka-dot cropped top in black and white, I decided to add a bit of casual edge to the look – I wore my striped Keds instead of slipping into my heels! I’m not really big on accessories so if you have noticed, I always keep that to a bare minimum – and when I say bare minimum, I am referring to the only accessory that is perpetually with me: the pendant necklace that Allan gave to me two years ago. I then saturated this whole number with my favourite black cross-body bag with studs (oh, I am getting a lot of wear out of this!). So, here is just one of my fairly standard outfits that I can be comfortable in while getting myself stuffed!
