I’m not really sure how I’d keep my blog ticking over without the help of Allan. He shoots all my (outfit) photos and motivates me to not give up on what I’m passionate about – that is, blogging – especially in the face of challenges. We bond over photography as it was always something he was naturally drawn to – in addition, he shoots on a professional capacity – and as a blogger, it was something I have grown to love. So in today’s post, I’m going to take a slightly different vein as I’ll be putting the professional photographer in front of the lens.
After mourning the loss of my Olympus OMD EM5, I bought a new camera so highly recommended by Allan, a Sony a6300. My happiness was through the roof when I got hold of it and, needless to say, I couldn’t wait to take it out for a spin! Talk about moving on quickly! In that same week, Allan and I attended a kite festival which took place on a beach in Jumeirah. When I asked him if I could turn the lens on him this time, he gladly jumped at the chance. Both of us were geeking out on the features of Sony a6300 and we had fun shooting on the busy and densely populated seashore. And might I just add, Allan is a natural in front of the camera!
Allan knows how to dress appropriately for an occasion, but he is generally a tshirt-and-jeans kind of guy. Very seldomly will you see him sporting a button-down shirt matched with a pair of 3/4th shorts and smart casual lace-up shoes. A simple get-up, but worth keeping in my blog <3
